Why does the PTA raise money?

The PTA funds many programs throughout the school.  This year we are allocating money for new technology (apple tv, ipads if possible), parent involvement programs (including a math STEM night and spring carnival), a new library initiative for a school wide reading program, field trip grant for all grades, the Leader in Me program special clubs, and instructional supplements (such as Social Studies Weekly) for our students. These are just a few of the things our PTA does to support our students and teachers.  You may review the budget and the latest meeting minutes online at any time.

Box Tops

Box Tops – Keep Collecting! 1 Box Top = 10 cents so 10 Box Tops = $1.00!   Please send them in at any time to your child’s homeroom teacher attached to a sheet with your student’s name and their teacher’s name.  There will be competitions throughout the year, with grade level winners.

In addition to physical box tops, there is a free downloadable Box Top Bonus App where you can scan your store receipts to earn our school even more money!  Turn your everyday receipts into cash for your school. It’s free and as easy as 1-2-3.  Simply download the app -> scan your receipt -> watch your earning stack up.

Time to Relink

Grocery Store Rewards are one of the many ways that our PTA earns money for our school.  Each year you need to link your Food City or Ingles reward cards in order for Miller Perry to earn money from your everyday purchases.  Simply visit Food City website here and log in to relink your card or visit a location.  To relink to Tools for Schools through Ingles please visit the customer service desk.  You can also earn money for our school by shopping on amazon with Amazon Smile, Miller Perry PTA.

Ink Cartridge Collection

We collect empty, used ink cartridges at any point in time and get money from Office Depot for it, which helps purchase school supplies.
